Christ Renews His Parish Women’s Retreat
Come join us for a two day weekend that will strengthen your bond with God and your fellow parishioners! The renewal weekend is given for parishioners by parishioners. It is a process designed to bring members of a parish together in Christ. It emphasizes continued growth in Christian life and in our daily contacts with others. The weekend is an opportunity to hear and discuss how we live as Catholics in our modern complex
society.
The atmosphere is casual and we will begin friendships that will last a lifetime. It will be a time of prayer, sharing, love, and laughter. The weekend will be an opportunity to take a break from our busy schedules and give us an opportunity to renew ourselves spiritually.
The retreat will be October 23rd & 24th for women of the parish over the age of 19. It begins on Saturday at 7:30am and ends on Sunday at 4pm. Meals prepared with love will be provided. A $25 donation is suggested. Contact Cindy at 752.6232, Cathy at 751.2902, or Susan at 752.8175 to sign up!
AWAKENING FAITH
We welcome you to AWAKENING FAITH, a small faith-sharing group whose goal is to help reconnect with the Catholic Faith. Beginning August 9, 2010, and every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, a different topic will be discussed at 7:00 PM in the parish office. The setting is casual and non-judgmental.
If you'd like to reconnect or know someone who has been away from the practice of the Catholic faith, you are encouraged to drop by on any 2nd or 4th Monday.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of AdultsThe Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process that embodies new insights and approaches for receiving adults into the Catholic Church. The process includes study, prayer, discovery, discussion, and celebration, and is designed for unbaptized adults who wish to inquire about the Catholic faith, baptized Christians from other denominations who would like to learn more about the Catholic Church, and baptized but uncatechized Catholics who wish to receive the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. Catechumenate Adapted for Children
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Adapted for Children is an age appropriate process for children and teens who have not been baptized and are seeking full initiation in the Catholic Church. This also includes those baptized in the Catholic faith who has not received religious instruction and/or the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. Contact: Denise Louviere,751-2926.
Catholic Alcoholics – CALIX Chapter
A new chapter of international association of Catholic alcoholics, called CALIX, has been formed in Baton Rouge. The chapter is composed of men and women who have maintained their sobriety through affiliation and participation in a 12 step alcohol recovery program.
